Moonfire is probably the best graphical spell in the game. At least, that's what I think . Although, it isn't quite as fun now as it was with the old graphic back in Black Temple, spamming Moonfire to blind all of the melee on kisingeout Supremus, the annoying glare factor still holds some weight. My love for pissing off melee and tanks staring at boss crotch all raid aside, Moonfire has been our staple DoT since WoW was released. The base-line effects of the spell are not as overtly powerful as with Insect Swarm, but Moonfire has quite a lot of talents and Glyphs going for it. On the talent side, Moonfire benefits from Nature's Splendor, Improved Moonfire, and Moonfury. Glyph wise, there is the
wow power leveling It's even possible to assume that Medivh viewed the Well of Eternity and the World Tree as far more crucial to protect since they were the prize Archimonde sought as well as the means of his destruction. It's possible he was afraid that doing so would merely force events down even more dire paths and the deaths and undeaths of so many paled in comparison to allowing the Burning Legion free reign across the surface of the world.

Vague warnings may have served to protect the ultimate prize, but in the chess game against the lords of the demonic armies, Medivh can be seen as having willingly sacrificed a great many pawns, the people of Lordaeron who died to Arthas, to the plague, and eventually to the Scourge, in order to ultimately take a Legion rook, the Lich King, off the board entirely. (If you've been to Karazhan, you'll note that Medivh is an avid chess player.)
wow power leveling Arthas did not choose to wait out the plague. He did not choose to lay siege to Stratholme and watch the people turn into the undead. In so doing he lost the support of his mentor and his first love, and walked out of a ruined, burned Stratholme burning with a hatred for Mal'Ganis (and not the Lich King himself) that drove him on the path to madness and obsession. And in so doing, he fulfilled both the Lich King's plan for him, and Medivh's plan for the Lich King.
wow power leveling After Stratholme and its destruction (I won't belabor it, if you've done the Culling of Time you've seen the events firsthand) we move into high gear. Arthas seeks his destiny in Northrend, Lordaeron meets its final fate, the orcs make their way across the ocean (meeting surprising new allies at every turn) and all the while, the self-proclaimed Prophet plays with the fate of the world, while the shadow passes ever closer and the Burning Legion edges ever closer to making its way back to Azeroth. Next week, we'll discuss these events, as well as the fall of Quel'Thalas, Grom Hellscream's fall, and the return of the children of the moon.
wow power leveling Let me say first that I'm not referencing some sort of vampire fetish, I'll leave that to our resident Twilight fan. I'm talking about riding around Azeroth, slinking in the shadows, preying on the weak and undefended. Ganking is a great stress reliever, it allows you to vent all of your frustrations and shed your rotations: there's nothing left but a pure kill. Coating your weapons in your opponent's vital fluids and having their warm blood splattered all over your armor is the perfect way to christen your new gear.
wow power leveling Glyph of Moonfire and the Glyph of Starfire. While all of these are very good things, there is some conflict between them all. Damage modifying talents do not normally stack multiplicativily with each other, instead they are all additive. There are some caveats to this; global modifiers such as Master Shapeshifter and modifiers from debuffs on a mob are all multiplicative. Moonfire, sadly, suffers from the curse of additive multipliers. Instead of Improved Moonfire, Moonfury, and the Glyph of Moonfire all increasing damage by their respective amounts, all of those modifiers are added together in one lump sum which reduces their effectiveness. Moonfire also somewhat suffers from its split damage component, with the spell power scaling being broken up between the direct damage and the DoT. Without Glyphs or Nature's Splendor, this isn't so much of an issue since both aspects of the spell are strong in their own right, however with the Glyph of Moonfire all but destroying the initial damage portion of Moonfire and the Glyph of Starfire plus Nature's Splendor increasing the duration to 27 seconds (15 seconds base-line, 3 seconds from Nature's Splendor, and 9 seconds from Glyph of Starfire,) this does cause a few complications in scaling. Looking at Moonfire, we will use the same gearing and buff set up from before. We'll also start with looking at the 'starter' gear as per usual.
